Music Ministry

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Worship Services

Worship is integral part of what we do here at First Baptist.  We desire to lead people to the throne room of God by singing praise at each of our services.  Our worship services are Sundays at 10:30am and 6:00pm.

Sanctuary Choir

Our Sanctuary Choir is a dedicated group of singers who lead in worship for Sunday morning services as well as special programs. It is open to ages high school through senior adults. Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 7pm in the Music Suite.

Children's Choir

Our Children's Choir is designed to introduce grades 1-6 to all sorts of praise and worship experiences. Scripture songs, instruments, fun and games are some of the tools we use to help children develop worship skills. Our Children's Choir meets on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. in the Hideout.

Handbell Ensemble

First Baptist Church is blessed to have five octaves of handbells and three octaves of hand chimes. We use these instruments in praise and worship regularly. Our Handbell Ensemble is open to high school through senior adults. Rehearsals are Sundays at 5pm in the Handbell Room.

Instrumental Ensemble

Our Instrumental Ensemble plays monthly in worship using strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion. It is open to any trained musicians from high school through senior adults. Rehearsals are Sundays at 9:30am in the Sanctuary.

Yearly Music Events

Ring & Sing Outreaches

The Music Ministry seeks to reach out to the community through music. At these events the Handbell Ensemble plays hymns and/or carols at local nursing facilities to point to Jesus Christ.

Music & Arts Camp

We serve a creative God who has gifted each of us with unique gifts and talents.  Each summer we host this camp to help children discover and hone those gifts through a variety of music and art classes.  Children take part in handbells and choir and then choose from other class options such as Percussion and Worship Arts.  See the flyer above for more details as we prepare for this year's camp!

Christmas Cantata

Every year we take great delight in presenting a Christmas cantata on the second Sunday in December.  Our desire is to proclaim the name of Jesus through and revel in His glorious coming!
